Date: March 6, 2004 NAT Acquires Assets of Pentar Avionics Northern Airborne Technology Ltd., a Chelton Group company, has acquired the assets of Pentar Communications Systems LLC and Pentar Systems Inc. Founded in 1997, Pentar is a pioneer in the development of high value, high performance multi-media data communications products for both cabin and flight deck of a wide array of commercial aircraft. Pentar’s products are in use by business aircraft operators, major airlines and major aircraft manufacturers. Its versatile cabin server products have been used for a variety of applications, including internet and e-mail, in-flight entertainment, security, maintenance and system control. NAT Seattle Inc., of Seattle, WA, is a division of Northern Airborne Technology Ltd., based in Kelowna, BC, Canada. Design and product support capability for the Pentar products will be maintained in the Seattle area, while the majority of production will be relocated to Kelowna. Bob Rodgers, founder of Pentar, will become president of NAT Seattle Inc. The combination of Pentar innovation with the resources of the NAT/Chelton Group will provide a comprehensive service and product line.
