Date: April 29, 2002 NAT Announces Additional DAO Approvals In addition to previously receiving Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) approval for a Design Approval Organization (DAO), Northern Airborne Technology is pleased to announce approval of five more NAT engineers and technologists to perform functions on behalf of TCCA as Designated Engineers and Members within the DAO. Authorized are: Marek Jaglarz - Avionics, Software and Installations; Mitch Stinson - Audio Systems; Maurice LeNoble - RF Communication Systems; Todd Blackstock - Audio Systems; and Monty McEwen - Avionics Test. In August, 2000, NAT received the first DAO approval granted to an avionics manufacturer in Canada, which has enabled NAT to approve data on behalf of TCCA for product approvals. At that time, John Carr, Certification Manager, was authorized by TCCA to perform the functions of a Designated Engineer - Avionics within the DAO. The additional authorizations have enhanced NAT's capability to act on behalf of the Minister of Transport to determine that NAT designed products and aircraft installations of NAT products comply with the applicable standards of airworthiness. With the reduced involvement of TCCA in the certification of products and installations, NAT is able to bring products to market faster and offer installation approval services to meet customer needs. A member of the Chelton Group of companies, NAT is a leader
in communications equipment for special mission aircraft applications.
