JOB OPPORTUNITY

Title: Electronics Hardware Designer

Department: Engineering

Reports to: Hardware Development Manager

Salary Range: Dependent Upon Qualifications

DESCRIPTION:
This position involves all phases of electronic communication product development including system design, circuit design, prototyping, printed circuit artwork design, testing, documentation, and product support.

REQUIREMENTS:
• minimum education level: Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• experience in PC operation, AutoCad, and autorouters.
• experience in circuit design and prototyping (preferably for airborne applications).
• good oral and written communications skills.
• ability to work with little or no supervision.
• ability to work in small, informal groups.

DUTIES:
• circuit design, prototyping, and PCB artwork design.
• generate proper documentation to allow transfer of design to production department.
• audio product testing and support.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
• work is assigned in terms of broad objectives, relative priorities, and critical areas that affect other projects and departments.
• work is reviewed for soundness of approach and general effectiveness.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED:
• may give technical guidance to one or two junior designers assigned to same project.
