JOB OPPORTUNITY

Title: Electronics Technician

Department: Production

Reports to: Production Manager

DESCRIPTION:
This position entails the assembly of products with a high level of difficulty, from a bare circuit board to the final test stage.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics Engineering Technology
• Excellent hand eye coordination
• A high level of concentration
• Ability to distinguish colours
• Ability to solder to acceptable standards
• The capability to work with little or no supervision
• Knowledge of, or prior experience with electronics assembly and test equipment
• Familiarity with test procedures
• Ability to read a circuit diagram
• Knowledge of surface mount technology

DUTIES:
• Assembly of products from a model
• Test finish product to ensure it is assembled correctly
• Ensure correct assembly as per internal documentation
• Trouble shoot assembly problems
• Perform all duties as per the applicable Quality Program Procedure
• Handle and solder small wire (up to 28 AWG) and smt components
