JOB OPPORTUNITY

Title: Assembler I

Department: Production

Reports to: Production Manager

Salary Range: Dependent Upon Qualifications

DESCRIPTION:
This position entails the assembly of products with a moderate level of difficulty from a bare circuit board to the final test stage.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12 Diploma
· excellent hand eye coordination
· a high level of concentration
· ability to distinguish colours
· ability to solder to acceptable standards
· the capability to work with little or no supervision
· knowledge of, or prior experience with electronics assembly and test equipment
· familiarity with internal test procedures
· ability to read a circuit diagram

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· assembly of products from a model
· test finish product to ensure it is assembled correctly
· ensure correct assembly as per internal documentation
· trouble-shoot assembly problems
· perform all duties as per the applicable Quality Program Procedure

Physical Demands:
· long periods of standing and sitting/repetitive motion/periods of strong visual and mental attention/high pitch noise/neck, back, and shoulder strain

Working Conditions:
· exposure to noise/exposure to chemicals
