JOB OPPORTUNITY

Title: Surface Mount/Wavesolder Assistant

Department: TAC/COM

Reports to: TAC/COM Production Manager

Salary Range: Dependent Upon Qualifications

DESCRIPTION:
This position entails the preparation of smt machine feeders, PCB’s and components and general assistance to the SMT Operators during production.

REQUIREMENTS:
· Grade 12
· Mechanically Inclined
· Computer Literate
· Electronics experience would be an asset
· Good with numbers
· Multitask
· Able to work well with others as well as independently
· Good Dexterity
· Ability to focus on small objects
· Legible printing/handwriting
· Normal colour vision
· Ability to prioritize tasks

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Load and change machine feeders with the proper components prior to operation of next kit
· Prepare SMT kits with various tasks such as track cuts, baking of IC’s, IC confirmation and labeling, and PCB fiducial cleaning
· Record batch numbers on the BOMs for the kits being run by the operators
· Post SMT placement PCB cleaning
· Perform maintenance on specified equipment
· Perform wavesoldering duties as required
· Perform through-hole component stuffing duties as required
· Solder paste screen setup as required
· Hand placed SMT assembly as required
· perform all duties as per the applicable Quality Program Procedure
